Got the usual schmusual MFCOM error message on AppCenter discovery. Turns out fix is a little different than DCOM permission errors etc and as this was an “established” farm was rather surprised to see it “stick” on multiple launches.
A good old “dscheck /clean” fixed it (2 things with that, one should make dschecks part of your monthly maintenance routine for your farm, and two make sure to back up the datastore prior to running it).
Interestingly for me this happened only last 2 weeks or so, some citrix customers must of been complaining as do see a brand new CTX article which covers in detail more behind the scenes what was going on.
